Ageing Well presentation at Centre for Innovation
Yesterday the University of Otago Centre for Innovation hosted special guests from MBIE (Ministry for Business, Innovation, and Employment) and A*STAR, a Singaporean public sector agency promoting scientific discovery.
Guests were welcomed by Hon Pete Hodgson. Presentations from three of the National Science Challenges followed:
- Professor Parry Guildford for Healthier Lives
- Associate Professor John Reynolds and Dr Debra Waters for Ageing Well
- Professor Barry Taylor for Better Start
Guests then toured the Pacific Edge laboratory.
The afternoon concluded following presentations from researchers: Professor Greg Cook (Microbiology), Drs Don Schwass and Carla Meledandri (Oral rehabilitation/Chemistry), Dr Monica Gerth (Biochemistry) and Professor Gerald Tannock (Microbiology).
